Technical Service Representative

Job Description:

This position is seeking a high-energy individual who will bring value to the business by providing best-in-class technical service support and building sustainable customer and downstream relationships in the Americas region, with a primary focus in North America.  The TS representative works closely with commercial and technology groups to protect and grow current business, and with new product teams to advance innovative laminated glass solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior technical service and support to glass laminating customers
• Help maintain and grow business with existing customers in accordance with regional commercial plans 
• Work with the commercial and market development teams to meet architectural and automotive business segment objectives
• Support Territory Management Plan to maintain key account relationships through engagement and regular visits to customer facilities
• Effectively troubleshoot product and process issues at the customer 
• Assemble, analyze, and summarize internal and customer data, using proficiency in spreadsheet applications, data analysis, graphical visualization, and statistical tools
• Identify opportunities for productivity and quality improvements in both customer and Company operations
• Develop and present performance recommendations for the Company in automotive and architectural laminating processes
• Coordinate and assist in product qualifications, including trials at customer sites
• Provide useful and accurate feedback to the QA, Operations, and Technology organizations to enable product improvement and defect elimination
• Actively seek opportunities for growth through innovation by applying discovery methods to capture information and better understand market and industry trends
• Conduct external and internal training for laminate processing and products
• Maintain a network with equipment manufacturers
• Use of SalesForce.com to submit call reports, drive opportunities, and effectively communicate customer engagement and feedback to internal stakeholders
• Possibility of working remote or off-site

Qualifications:

Experience / Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering is required
• 3-5 years working in Manufacturing / Technology environments preferred
• Experience working directly with customers preferred
• Ability to travel (40-50% of the time) required
• Strong written and verbal communications skills required
• A logical and systematic approach to problem-solving and root cause analysis required
