Supervisor, Warehouse and Material Control

JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse & Material Control Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of, and operations of personnel in the stockroom and receiving departments. Day to day focus is on receiving, storage, allocation, and distribution of materials for production. It is essential to ensure operations can operate safely, with high quality and efficient performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure a safe work environment, in conjunction with EHS, complying with OSHA standards and internal processes and procedures.
• Provide leadership (i.e., communication, motivation, tools, development, etc.) and direct daily tasks.
• Address daily material shortages.
• Develop and maintain processes and procedures for the warehouse, material control, and inventory management, in accordance with internal and external certification requirements.
• Maintain departmental performance reports.
• Responsible to achieve non-financial and financial metrics and objectives.
• Identify and implement solutions through continuous/continual improvement and methodological problem-solving.
• Ensure workflow and inventory control records are correct and maintained (ERP).
• Implement and maintain a warehouse management system (WMS) and last-mile management for optimized allocation and distribution of materials for production.
• Coordinate day-to-day tasks and strategic projects with other departments (i.e., Purchasing, Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, etc.).
• Works necessary hours to support direct reports and other operational departments.
• Assists other Supervisors, Managers, and Directors as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITIES:

• Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, related field, or equivalent years of experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or logistics.
• Previous supervisory experience (i.e., hiring, disciplinary, performance reviews, etc.).
• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ERP, and MRP software required,
  D365 experience preferred.
• Ability to develop and maintain a culture of exemplary customer service.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Self-motivated.
• Experience in leading improvement (i.e., Lean, Problem Solving, Kaizen, Six Sigma, etc.).
