Senior Technical Program Manager

Job Description:

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be driving the software development of the next generation of the company’s healthcare service platform. This role requires interacting with business, operations, and technology teams. Strong software product development and program leadership experience, work ethics, and a can-do attitude are the must-have requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the end-to-end planning and successful on-time execution of complex software initiatives, involving the company’s service platform. Lead cross-functional core teams and engineering activities to meet program objectives including scope, budget, and schedule.
• Lead the planning and implementation of the next-generation enterprise software solution from creation thru market introduction and roll-out.
• Apply the Agile development methodology (using SAFe) company-wide to ensure successful software development and program outcomes.
• Duties include a definition of software requirements, deliverables, the definition of program tasks and resource requirements, development of full-scale program schedules, management of program budget, identification and mitigation of program risks, and management of tasks to bring the program to successful completion.
• Responsible for establishing effective communication within the program teams as well as upwards status reporting and escalating to executive management. 

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• BA/BS degree in a technical or engineering discipline is required.
• 7 – 10 years in a technical program management role is required.
• Experience managing programs or development with complex software design requirements.
• Experience with cloud and enterprise software is required.
• Demonstrated technical aptitude to be able to understand, question, and organize technical topics and translate them into business terms.
• Demonstrated knowledge in technology lifecycle processes (SDLC, agile, waterfall, etc.).
• Demonstrated business systems analysis and project/program management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to make progress and decisions amidst ambiguity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to work at both the detailed and summary level.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence internal and external decision-makers.
• Ability to use critical thinking and reasoning skills to solve problems.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred:

• An advanced degree in a related field, with engineering or computer science, is desired.
• Prior experience in software development and/or software engineering management is desired.
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry’s regulations and compliance requirements is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with healthcare services and products is desired, not required.
