Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineer

We’re currently seeking a Senior Project Management with civil engineering land development experience to join our team. This person is highly trained in engineering and has a track record of success in project or program management. This person must be an outstanding communicator, exceptional leader, and even better strategist. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining our standards of excellence and delivering projects with the utmost attention to quality. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain healthy client relationships.
• Develop and grow client base.
• Prepare and submit SOQs.
• Develop project scopes and timelines, fee schedules, and prepare proposals for new projects.
• Site / civil development including grading design; roadway design; storm water management systems modeling and design; sewer, water and reuse systems modeling and design; and erosion and sediment control design.
• Management of all associated calculations, reports, and supporting documents
• Manage schedule and financial progress of projects.
• Actively assist recruitment efforts; coordinate with recruiter to grow and build the team.
• Coach, manage, mentor, and supervise staff; be a positive role model.
• Other similar duties and tasks as needed.

Education & Experience:

• PE Required: This position is for a licensed engineer to practice civil engineering in the state of primary practice or should be licensed in a different state with the ability to get the required license within 6 months of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited civil engineering or related program, and 6 years of progressive experience.
• 10+ years of civil engineering project management experience with the proven ability to lead a team of Civil design engineers. 

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Experience with Civil 3D, Water CAD, Storm CAD, Sewer CAD, ICPR, HEC-RAS, and Microsoft Office
• Knowledge in grading and drainage, paving, water, sewer, and Stormwater Management Plans
• Knowledge of local city, county and state land development processes and regulations
• Great interpersonal and client relations skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Self-starter who enjoys working independently as well as a member of the team.
