Provides technical expertise to a R&D team developing a novel platform for point-of-care testing. Based on the product requirements, this engineer will identify appropriate technologies to solve key challenges associated with the product (e.g. rapid heating/cooling, on-cartridge fluid movement/mixing). They will be responsible for researching, prototyping, and testing these building blocks, and working with the larger team to integrate these technologies into the overall system. As the program progresses, the individual will contribute to the medical device development process, including developing specifications, testing/verification, and risk management. Collaboration with the broader Infectious Disease Developed Markets Business (Marketing, Operations, Clinical, Quality, Regulatory) is essential to delivering new product designs from concept to launch.
