Senior Category Manager

The Role:

This full-time position reports to the Sourcing Director and offers an exciting opportunity to lead strategic sourcing initiatives for a portfolio of industrial packaging categories.
Key Responsibilities:

• Developing a robust category strategy and approved plan
• Leading the deployment of the strategy and prioritizing procurement initiatives
• Conducting fact-based negotiations, supplier selection, and contracting
• Managing procurement initiatives in alignment with stakeholders and cross-functional partners
• Focal point for key suppliers, including contract management
• Facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among category managers and buyers
• Contributing to the development of the company’s indirect strategy
• Enhancing the company’s indirect procurement profile and recognition

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; master’s degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or commercial roles related to packaging
• Strong skills in category management, strategic thinking, and collaboration
• Ability to influence, motivate, and negotiate effectively
• Entrepreneurial mindset and proficiency in demand management
• Data analytics skills and business intelligence gathering ability
