Regulatory Trade Business Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Regulatory is responsible for the smooth functioning of business in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Regulatory compliance works to ensure business stakeholders are behaving correctly in international transactions. Sitting within the corporate affairs team, we work daily to mitigate risk to the business, provide financial savings opportunities in international transactions, and give predictability to how business stakeholders move products.

The Regulatory Trade Compliance Analyst will perform entry-level assignments under the oversight of technical leadership on the team. Working to increase compliance throughout the business. Managing stakeholders from commercial, supply chain, finance, and logistics.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages or performs work associated with both import and export administration including:
  • Auditing past shipments for compliance elements, resolution of customs concerns and issues,
  • Overseeing the issue of import licenses and completion of monetary transactions associated with the import in a timely manner.
  • Facilitating health certificate and product approval needed prior to shipments.
  • Ensuring compliance with the home and foreign country government laws and customs regulations
• Performs work both in large quantities of documents and data as well as managing stakeholders throughout the business to resolve specific issues.
• Works independently and receives instruction, guidance, and direction with general supervision.
• May influence others within the Assignment area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
• Daily tasks related to government submissions and supporting team in ongoing audit work and documentation preparation.
• Responsible for reviewing specific transactions and maintaining visibility into international shipments.
• Added support to ongoing documentation functions, audits of prior international transactions for compliance needs, and preparation of government audit documents.
• Work cross-functionally with Royal Canin BUs from Commercial to sourcing, to logistics. The incumbent will be required to work with several stakeholders to perform their responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Excel will be mandatory, professional demeanor, trusted to perform tasks in a timely manner, and available and responsive during business hours as they may be a primary point of escalation for ongoing issues.
• The focus of the role is on compliance. We are looking for a junior team member with a background in logistics, law, data management, or economics and a willingness to learn.
• Professional attitude, and ability to cross-collaborate.
• BA strongly preferred.
• Food/consumer products preferred, not required.
