Regional Manager HSE

About the position:

This role is searching for a candidate that is passionate about creating a culture focused on safety and welfare. This strategic role will drive HSE initiatives across the Canadian sites, working closely with the management and local teams to build a strong and sustainable culture in health and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Align HSE strategies with company goals across 9 Canadian facilities
• Drive change management initiatives to support compliance and innovation
• Coach and mentor cross-functional teams on HSE best practices
• Lead and manage WHS training programs (e.g., Emergency Action, Lockout/Tagout)
• Develop incident prevention programs and enhance near-miss reporting
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and lead corrective actions
• Track performance via KPIs and champion continuous improvement
• Build strong relationships at all levels, from frontline to leadership
• Ensure compliance with all applicable Canadian OH&S regulations
• Promote knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and safety culture growth

Requirements:

• Diploma in health and safety, environment, chemistry or Related (or equivalent 7+ years of experience)
• Minimum 5 years of OHS experience in Canada, ideally in the distribution or services
• Excellent Knowledge of health and safety regulations in Canada
• Experience OHS training, policy development and regulatory compliance
• Excellent Communication, Leadership and Coaching skills
• Available for frequent travel (>50%)
• Mastery French required; bilingualism (French-English) strongly desired
