Regional Ethics & Compliance Leader – EMEA

The Regional Ethics & Compliance Leader works closely with lawyers, business leaders, and other stakeholders in the region and at the corporate level. The person in this role must bring a strong understanding of compliance risk management, be adept at developing strong relationships, and have the ability to deal with ambiguity. Effective leadership and influencing skills (critical thinking, results-oriented, etc.), including a strong reputation for integrity, objectivity, impartiality, fairness, and sound judgment are required.

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Design, assess and continually improve an effective ethics and compliance program that promotes compliance with our Code of Conduct and prevents and detects misconduct, globally.
• Assist with the development of strategic and annual plans, budgets, and resource alignment.
• Support leadership in creating and fostering an engaged global culture of integrity.
• Lead assigned projects, indirect and cross-functional teams, and act as an owner for assigned tasks in the region and beyond. 
• Ensure and establish local/regional policies and procedures aligned with our Code of Conduct, and global policies and procedures that are readily accessible to all employees in the appropriate languages.
• Assess conflict of interest disclosures.
• With the global E&C team, manage and oversee the compliance risk assessment.
• Develop training and communication strategies that are responsive to our needs and effectively raise awareness and understanding.
• In conjunction with the Director, of Compliance Monitoring, implement a regional compliance monitoring program. Ensure root cause analysis is conducted and corrective and preventative measures are in place.

• Support cases and issues involving the Company’s Integrity Line as assigned. 

• Support the third-party anticorruption due diligence process.

• Advise and/or represent compliance on various governance committees in the region and beyond.

Basic Qualifications: 

• Undergraduate degree, Bachelor’s minimum.
• Significant experience in a compliance or regulatory role or related field.
• Proven change management and project management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for policies and procedures, training, and communications in a global company.

• Ability to partner effectively with stakeholders in the region with a cross-cultural sensitivity and mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and quickly step in where resources may be restricted or timing is constrained.
• Excellent interpersonal, strategic thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
