Product Owner

Job Summary: 

The Product Owner role is a new position within the Product Team.  This person will play a critical role in ensuring that the vision and priorities of the Product Managers are well understood by the development team and the details are captured in Jira tickets.  The Product Owner will work very closely with the Product Managers and the Technical Project Manager to prioritize the backlog, manage the current sprints, draft user stories, and ensure new development meets acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities:

• Work very closely with Product Managers to draft and finalize user stories
• Manage and prioritize each sprint
• Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of the functionality of the applications from a user perspective
• Work very closely with the Technical Project Manager and development team to ensure all requirements are well understood
• Conduct exploratory and/or user acceptance testing of inflight development
• Work with users to proactively define workflows and get questions answered regarding requirements
• Maintain backlog in coordination with the Product Managers to prioritize and ensure we have at least two sprints of user stories prioritized in the backlog
• Refine the process to improve communication and workflow within the overall product development team

Experience:

• 3 years as a Product Owner working on web-based/SaaS applications
• Experience in the healthcare industry
• Business analyst experience is a plus
• Proven ability to concurrently work on multiple applications
• Expert in agile development methodologies and techniques
• Very comfortable with Jira
• Development background a plus
• Strong business acumen
• Process mapping, requirements drafting, and facilitation
