Marketing Manager

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Global Sr. Director, Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for promoting the brand portfolio across global markets and full engagement in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans for targeted customers and channels.

The position will have the freedom to create campaigns and content across all customer touchpoints and must be able to thrive working on multiple priorities with tight deadlines. They will be excellent at project and stakeholder management to work cross-functionally with product line managers, innovation and product development, sales, sustainability, and operations teams, as well as collaboratively across all other business units.

The Marketing Manager will work to increase customer engagement, manage external agency support, oversee social and digital marketing, and assist in the planning and execution of product launches. This position will manage content and updates for customers and internal touch points. This role will be expected to analyze and report on key metrics to measure the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns.

The ideal marketing partner should exude authenticity, positivity, and professionalism, be confident in what they have learned so far, yet be willing to learn more. Someone who wants to jump into the role and be ready to pivot on a dime if the need arises. A person not afraid of chaos, but in fact, embraces it while striving to create order and process. The right candidate takes on projects with gusto and finds solutions but is not afraid to seek out help or ask questions. They are accountable for their work and their voice in it. We are looking for the right marketing manager who is curious, self-driven, and a great team player. You will not only learn a lot in this role, but you will have ownership of key projects and be accountable for communicating progress and Return-On-Investment (ROI) to show effectiveness. While we are a large organization revenue-wise, we have the foundation of an ingredient start-up, and you have the opportunity to help implement processes and best practices to drive future growth.

The mindset required for this role is someone that is ok with not having a prescriptive path, who can see the big picture of what the company is transforming into, and helping to create the roadmap to get us there. This role requires a person who has boundless enthusiasm and who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves to get work done. You will create strong partnerships with sales and innovation functions, as well as product line managers and executives.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage existing global marketing collateral and resources and update, localize, create, and renovate as needed.
  • Manage internal and external communications including social media, email, newsletters, market reports, etc., as well as create campaigns supporting products and innovations.
  • Support the management of new content creation across all categories including blogs, white papers, case studies, videos, etc. to help increase awareness of offerings & innovations.
  • Support content creation with Product Development and Innovation teams to help support the sales process.
  • Create and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Support the Marketing team in promoting and driving desired company messages and activities both online and offline.
  • Work closely with global company and marketing teams to validate and ensure marketing strategies align worldwide and across regions.
  • Build an understanding of all business units to understand adjacent product offerings and synergies.
  • Manage agency relationships, project timelines, and asset deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required, major in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred. Candidates may substitute five (5) years of marketing management experience in lieu of the degree requirement.
  • Three (3) years of relevant marketing experience are required. Candidates substituting experience in lieu of a degree must have eight (8) years of marketing experience is required.
  • Marketing experience from the Food and Beverage industry is preferred.
  • Individuals must be a self-starter, highly creative, and strong team players (positive team spirit).
  • Excellent understanding and command of online/social media, direct marketing, public relations, community involvement, advertising, and brand management are required.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Pardot, Salesforce, etc.) is required.
  • Experience in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier Pro is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent English language comprehension, both written and verbal is required.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan tasks and projects to ensure deadlines are met.
  • The ability to build and nurture relationships with key influencers and organizations is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook is required.
