IT Business System Consultant

The IT Business Systems Consultant is the primary liaison between the IT and Complaints business users. Applies technical, business knowledge, and experience to formulate business requirements to solve a business problem. Consults with clients and senior IT personnel to develop and understand the business case and business requirements to solve technology-related business problems. 
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures
• Primary liaison between the technical and business areas to determine business requirements and develop a positive relationship with the business.
• Document requirements and define testing strategy. Work directly with the technical and validation team to ensure requirements and testing strategies are met.
• Lead the compliance process from inception to release and not just limited to product lifecycle documents. Fluent in data privacy, CFR, and SLC requirements.
• Requires technical experience related to analyzing business system needs, systems process analysis, design, and validation.
• Serve as system/requirement expert to evaluate defects, enhancements, and platform changes. Conduct investigation activity to provide business and requirement impact.
• Performs work using existing standards, methodologies & processes and understands other systems/business processes’ relationships with each other.
• Lead team activities and communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.
• Recommend, implement, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality assurance standards are achieved.
• Identifies and implements process improvements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer engineering.
• 5+ Years of experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results. 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Understanding of Salesforce and/or Trackwise 
• Previous experience in Complaints applications
• Previous experience with automated testing tools
