Corporate Controller/Director of Finance

Global Finance & Business Management works to strategically manage capital, drive growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and proactively manage risk. This position will be part of a team that is providing information, analysis, and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, teams ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting the fortress balance sheet.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the accounting and finance functions.
• Direct and manage financial accounting, financial planning, and annual budgeting from the initial stage of preparing the plan to full implementation, reporting, and evaluation of actual results relative to the plan.
• Manage the scale-up of the accounting and financial reporting functions to facilitate the company’s growth.
• Oversee the accounting close and consolidation processes.
• Manage the preparation of all periodic financial reports and forecasts including Risk Management analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
• Coordinate and represent the company in financial audits, government agencies, and other relevant bodies and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff, developing a high-performance team supporting rapid growth.
• Design, implement and monitor comprehensive internal controls over financial reporting
• Establish, implement, and monitor commitment and expenditure controls and manage cash
• Monitor, analyze and report monthly operating results against budget; Recommend benchmarks and key performance indicators for measuring and evaluating financial and operating performance; Create complete, accurate, and timely management reports.
• Identify the needs for accounting and financial reporting systems and lead the systems implementation and integration processes.
• Ensure financial and operational excellence through detailed management of revenue/profit, operational expenses, working capital, and capital investment to meet the agreed plans.
• Accountable for state, federal, local, and international tax matters; planning and execution of tax structures and rulings, Transfer Pricing Studies, etc.
• A key player in financial due diligence/IPO processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
• CPA Certification
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a leader in financial controlling and reporting.
• Deep knowledge, understanding, and skills in the practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS, SOX compliance, SEC reporting, finance, budgeting, cost control principles, and business analytics.
• Experience in leading the finance department in a publicly-traded company.
• Experience in leading a global finance department.

• Experience in automated financial and accounting reporting systems and MIS implementations cross-company.
• Good understanding of federal and state financial regulations, as well as SEC financial reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
• Ability to analyze financial data, forecasting, and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
• Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects with a hands-on approach.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Ability to work and prosper in a high pace environment.

• Medical device or healthcare industry experience – beneficial.
