Contracts Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Contract Analyst is responsible for providing high-quality contracts and analytics, financial models, and driving operational excellence. Responsible for drafting and/or reviewing contract T&Cs in order to understand and revise to include business decision language and comments prior to legal review. Capable of reading and understanding the terms and conditions of sales contracts in order to adjudicate accurate pricing, rebates, and fee deliverables. Serve as a partner and subject matter expert (SME) in contract performance for the Sales Director and senior leadership, by retrieving and evaluating customer sales data, forecasting, and assisting in data-driven decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Resolve contractual disputes or issues quickly and effectively.
• Draft new contracts and amendments and related customer documentation to provide for timely contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Field Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Regulatory stakeholders to collaborate on contract details and ensure compliance.
• Serve as a partner to sales by retrieving and evaluating data, forecasting, and assisting in data-driven decisions.
• Assist in long-term contract/pricing planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
• Assist in the coordination with sales and marketing to develop promotional pricing strategies and product initiatives to enhance contract utilization and compliance.
• Provide quotations to customers working with the operations team.
• Track contractually required fees or other items. Issue accurate and timely forecasts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports for internal and external customers as required.
• Responsible for completing and coordinating RFIs, RFPs, and contract submissions.
• Execute and monitor negotiated contracts from implementation to expiration to ensure that appropriate pricing is applied to sales orders.
• Analyze compliance of each contract
• Run and analyze ad-hoc reports to support pricing and contract initiatives.
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of any pricing and invoicing discrepancies with the Finance team and determine the root cause for resolution purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, business law, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA with specialization in contracts preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience as a contract analyst in a related industry.
• Organized, extremely detailed, able to perform under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
• Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner, as well as propose solutions.
• Mastery proficiency of all Microsoft applications including Teams
• Ability to showcase excellent documentation, technical, compliance, drafting, customer service, and vendor management.
• A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
