Associate Director International Logistics

Position Responsibilities:

The Assistant Director of international Logistics manages a team of specialists responsible for the procurement and operations management of all aspects of the company’s relationship with its international supply chain.

• This role will have responsibility for establishing procurement contracts, customs brokerage strategy, and international transportation service providers.
• Including international Ride on Ride Off (RORO) truck delivery, ocean, air, and ground carriers, and customs brokerage operations to ensure service expectations are being met on behalf of the company.
• This role provides global leadership of multicontinental logistics across company Divisions, including Global Sales, and will be required to establish standards and metrics to maintain quality service provider solutions, and guide issue resolution which could impact company performance.
• Lead Global International Carrier Performance Management
• Refine, improve, and build on established North American Customs Brokerage Strategy, Contracts, Performance, and Practices.
• Management of NA Customs Brokerage Operations (ECCN, Import Documentation).
• Management of CASS Freight Payment Performance and Processes.
• Provide Global Support as an International Logistics Subject Matter Expert.
• Manage CTPAT Program and Denied Party Screening.
• Support SAP GTS implementation, training, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Strong leadership skills and brokerage experience are required to manage overall US Customs Clearance Operations
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or an International-related field required
• 5 years of experience in Trade Compliance required.
• Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required.
• Management / supervisory experience required.
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of US Customs laws and Harmonized Tariff Classification
• Ability to determine trade requirements for dealing with other countries.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, customer service-based department.
• Experience working with Import and Export transactions.
• Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
